- hematocrit (Ht), leukocytes (Neutrophils and lymphocytes), platelets, urea, creatinine, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, transaminases AST,transaminase ALT, HBsAGaustralian antigen (hepatitis B virus), hepatitis C virus (HCV), HIV antibody test, (if required: parathyroid hormone (PTH), ferritin).
- Results of cardiac examination based on electrocardiography.
Outpatient: duration of each procedure is 4 – 4.30 hours (depending on patient's condition).
During the dialysis procedure patients usually maintain their mobility and activity.If during the process of dialysis there are any serious complications such as necessity for hospitalizationdue to cardiovascular disease, the patient will be admitted to the hospital for further treatment.
Dialysis treatment is needed for patient’s whole lives and is terminated only in case the they undergoes kidney transplantation.
